It’s sometimes
amusing to watch my fellow Countrymen/women fall so easily into a lull as they
watch and believe the news they hear. There
is all of this praising going on about how President Obama has won great
victories in war, where the Republican George W. Bush, could not. Obama has been praised for killing Osama Bin
Laden, praised for the overthrow of Egypt’s Mubarrak, now the ‘killing’ of
Qaddafi (even SecState Clinton made light joke of his death).
Obama is now trying
to gain the impression he’s brought the Iraq War to an end by bringing home the
troops.
President Bill
Clinton it is often said by him and his ‘supporters’, that he was the only
President to have a surplus in our Federal budget. He gets high marks often for having a robust
economy.
Now the reality
check. First we’ll start with Clinton. Following the turbulent 1960’s and 70’s, and
the costly Vietnam war, the U.S. ended with President Carter, who history no
doubt will call him the second most ineffectual President of the 20th/21’st
Centuries era. The U.S. national
economy was in shambles by Carter’s end, as was the state of our Armed Forces,
barely hanging on as an effective conventional fighting force.
Then the ray of
sunshine came in President Reagan, whom through two successful terms, was able
to enact the kind of legislation and leadership the United States direly needed. President Reagan energized the American Entrepreneurial
spirit and allowed the American private
business sector to grow and thrive. In
doing so, he simultaneously rebuilt our Armed Forces. Both of these actions had lasting effects.
Now let’s talk
about surfing. We watch surfers wait for
the ‘big wave’. The waves, start way out
in the ocean, far from the land on which they eventually crash upon. There are varying forces of nature that cause
and effect these waves to occur. But
when they do and finally reach land, one man or woman, who is surfing, will catch
that wave and ride in it to sometimes win a championship, if not the admiration
of their fellow surfers.
Thus is the same
cause and effect of economics and warfare. Both take an immense amount of time and
varying things to occurs before success is achieved. You don’t rebuild or build a skyscraper,
bridge, road in a single year. It takes
time, it takes several processes of review, bids, examinations, test, legal
paperwork often just to get the idea moving forward. This process can take months to years.
We never just won
a major conflict/war in a week. It takes
a long time to build, move, sustain, and fight to reach the point where victory
is achieved. It took 8 months of solid
fighting and huge help from NATO/US for Libya to take down Qaddafi. Their fight would still be going on without
the help of NATO.
So with that bit
of info for you dear reader to think about, President Reagan created a huge
wave of economic boom which created some long lasting waves that Bill Clinton
was able to catch and ride. While he did
do some positive moves after his first term, he did not create any kind of
motion that sustained those economic waves. In our Armed Forces, he all but made the water lay flat with his social
engineering experiments.
Then came G.W.
Bush, who did under his term, get the worse of all storms in the 9/11 terrorist
attacks. With a weakened economy with no
sustained projected growth from the Clinton years, and an Armed Forces
decimated from leftist, socialist meddling, G.W. Bush had to try and turn
around a Nation and a World. He was most
successful on the Armed Forces front, revitalizing the spirit and physical strength
of our Military, this part affecting our economic engine as growth is once
again achieved for our Armed Forces.
But G.W. did not
look into our financial situation as he should have and began spending way too
much needlessly in our war efforts, and not taking care of things here in the U.S.
Then came Barak
Obama…the self & media appointed savior of the U.S. This has proven to be the biggest disaster
our Nation has seen since the Great Depression. Obama has no idea of economics, nor does he
have any real leadership skills. His
true patriotism of this Nation, I do question. Obama has caught and road the waves that were created by G.W. Bush in
the Military arena. If it were not for
the actions of G.W., Bin Laden would still be alive today, and terrorism and
extremist Islam would be thriving in ‘legitimate’ Governments
in most Middle Eastern Nations.
There is no wave
for our economy. Bush did not create the
substantial action that would have kept things moving forward towards shore. Only small 6 ft waves at best. Obama has no economic wave to ride and is
unable to create anything to make one. He
has though, created a huge flat sea within our Armed Forces.
Strategically,
Obama has put the United
States in dire straits, by design or
stupidity, or both, history will tell.
So for those who
think Obama got Bin Laden, he rode the wave created by G.W. Bush. For those who think he got Qaddafi, Obama is
trying to ride a wave created by the martyr’s of the Libyan revolution and
NATO.
In the future dear
reader, take a good hard look when a President starts to claim victory on
something, and see if the wave he rides was created by him or someone else. MSNBC will be slobbering like St. Bernard's in a sauna anytime Obama claims anything, that is when I chuckle at my fellow Americans for being fooled.
