I feel like tooting my own horn today. Maybe because it's Independence Day, who knows, but this posting felt that it needed to come to fruition due to events that have unfolded. I use the word 'seer' (Merriam-Webster def: a person who foresees or predicts events) because that is what some person in one of my forums I participate in, called me. It was done in a mildly sarcastic mode, but it stuck to me.
I don't know so much that I am a true seer, or that like many people, if one just takes the time to look around, one can see the big picture that is in the sky. Let me start with this, in 1992, I wrote a paper on the immediate need to re-organize and 'unite' our entire Armed Forces.
Was not too long after that that 'Joint' was the word of the day and reality started to happen within our Armed Forces.
I really can not recall writing out a blog post on college, but I have several times, criticized the 'college' system within the United States for becoming nothing more than a huge 'money making - baby sitting institution'. Now, in reality today, many other more prominent people are saying the same thing. Many people are now recognizing and working on building more 'technical' training institutions so people have real skills and not just a paper on the wall diploma from 'Liberal Arts'. Reality is that many complain that people with college degree's are working at McDonald's. Wha, wha wha, is all I have to say to them. Nothing wrong with working at McDonald's. My better half LEARNED much about management working at a McDonald's when she was in her late teens.
Dear reader, have you seen the news over the past month or so about all the horrible fires out West and in the MidWest? Did you read about the equally disastrous floods in the East and Midwest?
Going back to the mega University of (fill in the blank), and their hundred year commitment to the thousands of graduates. Why, has not a single one, come up with a way to channel all of that water to needed parts of this Nation? Hey they have a heck of a sports, band, and liberal arts program don't they??!!
Years ago, on Newsmax, late 90's, early 00's, they had a 'forum' over there. It was my introduction to forums. I started my own thread over there and called it something like 'Third World USA'. By the late 90's, it was clearly apparent to me that the United States was heading quickly in the wrong direction as a Nation. There were so many dynamics happening, that only the blind would miss them.
One response I recall back then, did give me a bit of comfort. It was a short response on a long thread of many responses. It simply said something like, 'I understand what you see and feel and there are many of us that believe the same.' It was written much better than my version, the language usage was very educated, that's why it stuck to me.
And here this Nation is today....broke, on the verge of (1) economic collapse, (2) Balkanization, and (3) possible civil war. I read where 13 counties in the Socialist Republic of California are talking of secession. That is due to number one above. Number two is becoming a talked about reality. Three,.....three.....is worst case scenario and those in 'control', 'big government' types, most with (D) after their names in the political arena, grasp to control every aspect of every person's life and their lust and greed for power.
What these power mad fools fail to understand is that they're not the only ones who desire 'control'. These fools have some serious competition out there, one is Islam, two is Communist China. Neither will bargain nor share with the 'Socialist' elite, the fools at the end of the day.
So what lay ahead? A seer should know right? This is where we are at right now. We as a Nation are at the very same place Japan found itself at the end of the Shogunate and beginning of Meiji Era. How we move forward will depend upon the actions of many people from all sides. This is a power struggle, and it is a struggle for the very survival of this Nation as most of us know it. I will address something in another posting after this that is pertinent.
For what I do know and see, is the point of time in history that this Nation is at. That if this Nation continues to move 'left' under Obama and his controllers, it's all over. I have no doubts in that statement. If this Nation moves 'right', then we can salvage what remains and begin to rebuild. But either way, things will never go back to the 'way they were' before September 11th, 2001. Too much has already changed for that to happen. It is how we address and tackle the future which will hold the key. The bedrock on which this Nation was built, is the foundation for our future. That lady's and gentlemen, is the key !!!!
