Obama & Unions out to destroy NFL

Remember dear reader, B.E.V. is a blog, a personal opinion based upon things, words, events seen, heard, and experienced.  Just prior to this past awesome Super Bowl, rumblings began that the 'NFL Player's UNION' would cause the 2010 NFL season to cease to exist even before the first summer camps started up.
The NFL, American's last bastion of feeling good about themselves, a place to escape the insanity CAUSED by Washington D.C., and litigious lawyers and greedy CEO's.  We saw what happened to Major League Baseball when their players went on strike....via their 'UNIONS'.....MBL is still suffering from lack of fan support.  The NBA is still trying to recover from their bad image from players themselves who feel the 'gangsta-thug-club' life is more important than being a professional.  Which leaves what....the surging in popularity NASCAR, and the NFL.   Golf....took a massive Tiger slice and ricochet.  But on mass appeal, only the NFL and NASCAR remains.
Now we have this to deal with:    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100208/ap_on_sp_fo_ne/fbn_nfl_future

"Pro football is headed into the great unknown. Barring a quick — and totally unexpected — agreement with the players' union on a new contract, 2010 will have no salary cap. After that, perhaps a work stoppage, something NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith puts at "14" on a scale of 1 to 10."

So what does Obama have to do with this B.E.V.?

In Obama, unions see a brighter future

John Sweeney, the top union official in the United States, often complains that he was invited just once to the White House during George W. Bush's eight years in office - and even that was at the Vatican's behest during a visit by Pope Benedict XVI.

If an index is needed for how much closer organized labor is to President Barack Obama than to Obama's predecessor, it might be the number of times Sweeney, the AFL-CIO's president, has visited the White House since Inauguration Day - at least once a week - for receptions, bill signings and a meeting on fiscal responsibility.

As AARP continues its Create The Good initiative, they've got a new group of supporters to appeal to audiences young and old: NFL players, also young and old.

The NFL Players Association and AARP have announced a partnership to encourage public service and volunteerism through service projects featuring current and former NFL players through 2010.

All one has to do is connect all the dots.....Union dots lead straight to the Obama White House which greats them with open doors and millions in tax payer dollars.  Granted, as with Health Care, the NFL does need to address how players injured will be treated, cared for, and payed.  But as with Health Care, Obama and Congress need to just get out of the way...which they will not.....and have the upper echelons of management of the NFL and Health Care, address Congress on how THEY are going to solve the problems.

If 'Unions' get involved....the same repetitive pattern will follow....demands for more money which will strain the organization to the breaking point and eventual collapse.  As with happened with steel and automobile automobile manufacturing.  And most places where 'unions' get their corrupt, greedy hands involved with.  At the end of the day, only the union management get the big money, golden parachutes, and the workers......suffer.  If you see both Obama and the Unions pushing for anything inside the NFL, expect to see ....you'll see no NFL season in 2010., and then it's going to just go down hill from there.
