Week before last on '24'. The following took place between 8pm and 9pm CST. We were watching the show, and it's been a farily good season of '24'. But then, towards the end of the show....the character Tony Almeida suddenly switches from being the ultimate redeemed good guy fighting for what is right about America, into just a scum bag terrorist bent on self interest and monetary gain.
What it boiled down to is the same thing that happens often to great shows......very poor script writers and everyone else not caring enough about the 'end product' and 'value' of a show. Kind of like scum bag terrorist, they get involved with self interest and monetary greed only.
When Tony 'turned', my wife said, 'that's it, I"m not watching this stupid show anymore'. I almost agreed but being a guy and I like waching fiction where the U.S. Government actually does what it takes to take out terrorist and protect this Nation. But then the icing on the cake is Janeane Garofolo (who many us kept scratching our heads...why is she doing this show??? ) that got on her leftist political high horse and began spewing leftist reverse racism remarks. Funny for a woman whom I"m sure went to a 'redneck' bar Brews Brothers years back. Hmmm. Anyhoo, I guess Monday nights are open now for something new. Shame that such a good show had to go out on such a bad script.
