Walkin' Talkin' about the campaign and money

My wife and I went for a walk this afternoon, and we were observing the number of campaign signs in the yards.  By 2 -1, homes displayed McCain signs over Obama.  So, by my 'poll'...McCain wins the election.  I do not believe the 'polls' numbers that I hear since most of the pollster's are in the tank DNC operations and not non-biased, non-political.  As I said in a comment...everyone has an agenda, and poll organizations are no different.
Maybe if the Catholic Church and Buddist Temples had nothing but Monks doing the polls, I might believe the poll reports.
We got talking about the campaign spending.  Reading a story : http://wcbstv.com/campaign08/barack.obama.whites.2.822216.html
I already knew from just about every media report, Barak Obama is outspending John McCain.

"McCain increased his staff spending, building up a payroll of nearly $1.2 million. He also spent more than $3 million on travel, at least twice as much as what he spent in July.

Obama, however, was ahead of him in those categories as well. Obama spent about $2.8 million on payroll, an increase over his July spending. He also spent nearly $4.9 million on travel.

Altogether, Obama spent $53.5 million in August and McCain spent $41 million."

"The RNC reported $76.5 million in the bank at the beginning of September before obtaining the McCain camp's leftover cash. The Democratic National Committee reported $17.7 million cash on hand at the end of August."

The thought that crossed my mind was if the spending we see now by Barak Obama is indicative of what he will be like as President.....you can count for sure, that across the board tax raises will go in effect during his four year term.  If he can't save, be frugal, or otherwise come of with a 'brillant' plan to save money as Presidential candidate......just think about what is going to happen when he has his hand on your wallet for four years!!

Also, the arguement about a heart beat away from the President.  Democrats are complaining daily that Gov. Palin is a heart attack away from the Presidency if Sen McCain is voted in...( God please bless that), but what about Obama - Biden.  As it is right now, if something happened to George Bush, VP Cheney then assumes the Presidency....which makes Nancy Pelosi one heart attack away from the Presidency.
Now if Obama gets in, something happens to him and Joe Biden assumes the Presidency....again, Nancy Pelosi is a stroke away from the Presidency again.  God Forbid that whole previous sentence.
But I asked.....who would make a better President - Gov. Sarah Palin, or Sen. Nancy Pelosi??   Crisis example:  USS Gettysburg CG64, is steaming back to homeport in Mayport, Florida after doing a port visit to Brazil.  While steaming past Venezuela, 200 miles out in International Waters, Chavez - ever eager to kill Americans, knows the location via his Naval forces tracking the ship.  At midnight, he launches a flight of his recently aquired MIG-29's....with a cruising range of 905 Nautical Miles, the flight is easy for the MIG.  They fly at water level, Venezuelan Naval ships flood the air with electronic jamming, the MIGs then pop up and let loose a wall of missiles at the Gettysburg.  While even at alert status, most of the crew is asleep, by the time alarms are sounded, the ship is hit with 20 missiles.
Now.....what would Gov. Palin do?   What would Sen. Pelosi do?  Answer that yourself.
Now ask yourself, what would Sen. McCain do?   What would Sen. Obama do?   I know what McCain would do....it's scary to think what Obama would not do, much less what he would do.
So, there's a few more things to think about before you go to the booth and vote.
A good argument coming out too...a Government run totally by the Democratic Party.  A possibility.
