Rules for 'my' America

I was doing some quick research for a posting here on BirdsEyeView, and ran across these rules from the Official Roy Rogers website.  I read them, and I really endorse and agree with them because they reflect MY KIND OF AMERICA!!

Roy Rogers Riders Club Rules:

1. Be neat and clean.
2. Be courteous and polite.
3. Always obey your parents.
4. Protect the weak and help them.
5. Be brave but never take chances.
6. Study hard and learn all you can.
7. Be kind to animals and take care of them.
8. Eat all your food and never waste any.
9. Love God and go to Sunday school regularly.
10. Always respect our flag and our country.

Now, number 5 may have to be a bit tweaked.  I do like the U.K.'s  SAS motto "Who Dares, Wins".   There are times in life one does have to take dangerous chances in order to preserve the freedom's and liberties we all enjoy and prosper from.  There are times when chances in business need to be taken in order for a private business under our Capitalist system, needs to take in order to grow and prosper which helps all of those who are affected by that business.   There are times when one takes chances in sports, a player will literally throw their body towards a goal in order for their team to win.  I have a feeling Roy Rogers was talking about not taking stupid chances where you know you will be harmed and he did not want any kids to hurt themselves.
But overall, it's another great set of '10' rules for good American's to follow.
